First of all, thanks for the great affort in doing this converter!
Now my suggested improvement: When installing the sidebar files and registering them, it seems that not all needed entries are written to the registry. After running that point in the converter I still missed the control panel applet for the sidebar as well as an entry in the start menu and even desktop search didn't see the sidebar. I don't know if someone wants a shortcut to the sidebar in the start menu installed by the converter but here are the missing keys to enable the control panel applet (for x86):
