Hi I have a problem. I can't burn CD nor DVD in any program. I get a message that I haven't got a burning unit, but I have it and I can read CDs or DVDs normaly. It is in 64bit system, but in 32 bit too. Does anybody know, how I can enable burning or why it doesn't work? Thank you very much for your answer.

Hi, Yes Windows Media Player and the shell extention (right click > send to cd/dvd rw) doesnt work in Server 2008.
To Just add data to the disk you can do the below:
Run CMD prompt as administrator Format <cd-drive> /fs:udf
Then you can just drag and drop files onto the open disk and manually eject it.
for doing more complex things like copying dvd's, burning audio cd's etc just use other software like the Clone series from slysoft.com or roxio/nero.
Hope this helps you!
