Which version of Server 2008 is best to use for this?

I'm so flabbergasted that this is not mentioned anywhere, not here, not at http://win2k8.msfn.org/

Is it enough to install the Web server edition only? Should we best use 'Enterprise', or is 'Standard' better to convert to workstation / desktop ?

the most difference u will see is in the server platform

web edition don't have windows search engine else its doesn't matter for u
