... is supporting windows 2008 R2 64 within catalyst app and drivers!

I was about to apply orca at 12.1 version, but all entries at ati_os_include were there! just uninstall my previous version, rebooted and install.

no tweaks!

no ccc crashes at logon!

the only thing different is that amd had splitted the setup files. if you want the hydravision, you have to download it apart.

that's it.

Do u mean ccc doesnt work with the driver version installed at start up error if so
After catalyst install after reboot then get the error
Go to device manager / uninstall the display adapter
Then scan for hardware changes might need to restart again all good
Hope this helps for next time

I got a shock too when applying the 12.1 drivers. No messing about with .inf files or tweaking the code at all.

I hate being a nub. My friend had me install workstation '08 instead of 7 and now i fail at most of the workstation updates and have to ask him for help. No biggie, just asking.

I'm rocking the HD6950 2gb card. What. File. Do. I. Use.

Sorry for failing!

Go the site below. Go through all the steps on choosing your gfx card. In the last field "OS Type" choose Windows 7 64 or 32.

AMD Catalyst does not need Orca editting to install. That's it. But without editting you don't get these parts:

- hydravision does not install without Orca
- AMD Video Converter does not install either
- neither do AMD media codecs
- APP runtime does not install and your card cannot process OpenCL tasks
