hi !

what is the Supported O/S ID (GUID) for WS2008-R2 ?

i have an installer that checks the GUID for W7 = {35138b9a-5d96-4fbd-8e2d-a2440225f93a}
when i run it, so i want to change the GUID in the installer, making it check for R2 instead.
i have searched a lot, but i can´t find any info anywhere about GUID for R2.

The GUID for Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise is {FAF76B96-798C-11D2-AAD1-006008C78BC7}

How did I find this out? I made a tutorial just for you.

@halladayrules

Nice tutorial but how can I use this GUID in order to modify an installer?
Most installers don't offer the option to change the GUIDs they are looking for...

P.S. What if I changed the UUID to a UUID that correlates to Windows 7/64?
