Windows Media Player Plugin allows you to play back audio and video stream online (such as internet tv and radio), that requires WMP plugin. This plugin adds WMP playback to Firefox, Opera, and Chrome. To install it in Server 2008 R2, you need to edit it with MS Orca.

download wmpfirefoxplugin.zip

Unpack and click ffplugin.msi to install.

Downloaded from:

http://www.interoperabilitybridges.com/ ... n-download

Editted with Orca:

This table in ffplugin.msi was editted to add support for Server 2008 R2 :

LaunchCondition
MsiNTProductType > 1
VersionNT = 601

Oh, EiOL did beat you to the punch? Ok. Suppose your server is already well tweaked but suddenly arises the need for the plugin. You start searching google and wading through tons of pages of different threads untill you hopefully find it. What I did was to record and illustrate the easy process, without even a thought to beat anyone, I just put it as I found convenient to an end user - do it yourself or simply download and install.

Thanks for the links, the convertion tool looks quite attractive indeed.

As a regular contributor this is why we pieced together the R2 Conv GUI. It's all the workstation eye candy goodness pre-packaged into a convinent file. The WMP firefox plugin is included in R2 CONV GUI.

Thank you for the clarification, but from the links in your first post I already know that R2 Conv GUI has the WMP firefox plugin. I followed your links and read there, not to worry.

Hey neige,

I have got another tweak you can integrate into the next version of you R2 Conv GUI. It's the Windows Media Player plugin for Firefox that allows you to play Windows Media content on websites that support it.

Great job. I am used to tweaking servers manually, but I'm also determined to try R2 Conv GUI next time.
