Its very far from usable OS.. I mean the look is still the same as vista, but the core is different so i don't think it can be used for normal work.

Alex is right, you can't use it yet because of the loose ends. Here are several screenshots yet: ctfblog.977mb.com, it just looks (and acts) like Vista so let's wait for the next release! ;)

Hey guys,
I must disagree. Windows 7 is freaking unbelievable, so much faster than Vista, so stable, so compatible with any software and any hardware (ok, until now). In matter of fact it's seems to be so reliable that I've already switched and use it now on my productive machine. Until not even one BSOD, booting is out of space and all the new features are making it fun to sit 12 hours and just work it. All games (the actual ones) are running pretty stable and performant.
So, I can just give you a go on that..........

Peter

PS: I was going through all the builds until now and the build 7000 is seeable the most remarkable. Vista is SO FAR AWAY from it that hells needs to freeze over instead of going back.

Hey Peter, this is an old thread that is about the previous beta version of Windows 7. The current release (build 7000) is way better than the previous beta so I now totally agree with you! ;)

Can't wait for the Release Candidate to be released! :) (Just read in the news that they are going to skip releasing more beta's)

There are various rumors on the internet, but the solid one that convinced me is found at http://blogs.zdnet.com/Bott/?p=649
