I just pushed F1 in an application for the first time, and got a message from Windows saying that Help is not supported in Vista (kind of strange that they didn't change it to say Server 2008, isn't it?). I had to go to the MS web site and download a special version of Windows Help: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/917607

I guess it's good that they've got it available to download, but it's very stupid that you should have to do that.

I didn't notice it yet, but you are right: to open .hlp files you first have to download WinHlp32.exe in order to view them. I guess they are now trying to let everyone use .chm files...
