Maybe you can a bit more specific about the hardware you are using? You can find information about your hardware using the Lavalys Everest tool mentioned in Method 2 of the Installing Drivers Tutorial. It is also possible that your motherboard drivers aren't installed or not the most recent if you get performance issues like you have. An other possibility is the lack of performance some people experience after you installed Hyper-V.

I am running an 8800 GTS and I just used the Vista 64 drivers....works great. I would recommend that you identify your video card and then download the Vista version of the driver for it...most seem to work. Just be sure to match the version of the driver to your OS (32 vs 64 bit).

I don't want to start a new thread on my NVidia problem.

When I view a JPG or any individual picture file, its as if the video driver outright fails. Basically the screen goes blue with lines and dots. I can hit CTRL Alt Delete a few times to get back to a viewable screen, but the only way to get through it is to log out and back on again. The problem does not happen when there is no NVidia driver installed. My video card is the 7900GT running on the 64 bit version of Server 2008. I installed the latest version of the driver, and went back 1 version also but had the same problem.

Any suggestions?

Don't take this wrong (especially since I'm new here), but I think it would be more informative for others if you explained how exactly you solved this issue. ;)

It might be crucial information to me as well, since I'm also running a NVidia card. :)

Hi, also new here.

I have a 2 * Xeon Quad core processors with a Nvidia GeForce 8600GT - have the latest drivers installed. All updates are done on the server.

All screen scrolling - even this site - is very jerky - inconsistent. Same goes for Excel 2007, Vista Snipping tool etc.

Soon as I stop the Theme service - all is 100% - scrolling sites and moving between programs - perfectly normal.

Any ideas?

It looks like you have the same problem climber has: Excel 2007 auto refresh issue...ATI Mobility Radeon x300. Could therefore be a hardware independent problem?

I actually built out a new machine. Everything was new with the exception of the video card. The old card was PCI Express 1.0 and the new board was PCI Express 2.0. I bought a new card and everything went away. User error that I was not admitting!
