Had to go into the disc and install from setup.exe since AutoRun does not work correctly.

The game installs, but I got the normal error of "This game has only been tested in x86 systems". Ran the game and got the "gameux.dll could not be found". Just clicked "OK" and the game started. If you do not want the message then just downlaod the correct bit version from the "Gameux.dll" post.

Not sure if this is something outside of the game causing my issues, but I have noticed the game is very jumpy I am guessing that it is having issues accessing .dll's or .cab files. Not really sure though!

BF2 is quite hard drive intensive or does it work pretty well on vista in comparison?

Yep, Mauller07 is right. The exception code is c0000005 so its probably the DEP that isn't disabled. Use this tutorial to disable DEP! :)

I got BF2 running last night. At first it would not load so I deleted the saved cache from XP and then deleted my saved profiles and it loaded up fine. Looks better for some reason but I was tired and it was past my bed time. Will update after I play online a few times.
