Can someone please check in regedit the default values for - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\PrefetchParameters
on a Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 is there key string "EnablePrefetcher" (and if there is what is the value) or there is just those 2: "BaseTime" and "BootId".
I'm talking non modded and without superfetch added to R2.

Thanks.

I created a virtual machine of R2 and I created a snapshot when I initially installed the OS called "baseline". So I simply created a snapshot to save my current work then reverted back to "baseline" and looked up those values for you. Here they are

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\PrefetchParameters]
"BootId"=dword:00000005
"BaseTime"=dword:13ccfa56

That's it.

So you are correct the EnablePrefetcher option is not there. Even if you enable it, it will do nothing because that string calls up sysmain.dll to build the prefetch.
